Monday: Details on 'The Real James Bond'
Helping the Hurricane-ravaged Bahamas

Announcing "The Real James Bond"!

RealjamesbondI am pleased to announce that my book about the life and times of the real James Bond will be published by Schiffer Publishing next February.

I think Schiffer did a great job on the cover. Can't wait to see the finished book, which features 108 color and black-and-white images -- including several that are rare or never before published.

The book is packed with all sorts of great information about Bond, his landmark book "Birds of the West Indies," his explorations in the Caribbean, Ian Fleming and Goldeneye, lots of real spies, Philadelphia, Mt. Desert Island, Jamaica, Cuba and much more.

Like Bond, I am from Philadelphia, and I love this amazing city.

Schiffer, by the way, also published my large-format book "The Nature of the Meadowlands," and they did a beautiful job on that one.

You can read the blurb about "The Real James Bond" on Schiffer's website here.

As the publishing date draws near, I will post more information on the book, related appearances and speaking engagements.

Once the book is published, I will post all sorts of Bond-related and book-related news.

If you would like me to speak to your group about my new book and/or other topics, email me. I have done more than 100 talks over the years -- on the Meadowlands, Hawk Mountain, the largest rain forest in Central America and my many ghost stories.

I have several "Real James Bond" talks scheduled, and I will post more information on them as the publication date grows nearer.

All of my proceeds from Bond-related talks will go to The Nature Conservancy's work in the Caribbean.

You can learn more about how you can donate to hurricane relief efforts in the Bahamas here.
